The Top Trending Hashtags on TikTok

If there’s one platform that knows all about trending hashtags, it’s TikTok.

While TikTok certainly wasn’t the first platform to use hashtags and won’t be the last, it hasn’t taken long for its users to continue the trend of placing hashtags on their content to try and bring more of their community to their profiles.

At this point, it’s less about using hashtags period, and more about which ones you choose to use.

Some are going to be much more popular than others, which could end up making a significant difference to your reach.

The Top Trending Hashtags on TikTok

Let’s take a look at some of the trending hashtags that are making the rounds on TikTok right now.

1. #riseandshine

Kylie Jenner kicked this hashtag off by singing ‘rise and shine’ to her daughter Stormi to wake her up.

This video soon turned into a TikTok meme, and it’s one of the most popular ones on the social media sharing app, with 1 billion views reached in just one week.

Jenner quickly tried to cash in on the popularity of the meme and has now trademarked the phrase.

2. #inmyroom

#inmyroom is simpler than you may think – it’s literally just people going into their room and slamming the door, pretty typical teen angst behavior.

However, you will never get bored with a trend like this because most of the time, people add text to them to explain the context a bit. Some of them can be funny, while others tell an interesting story.

3. #layerup

If you haven’t heard of the #layerup challenge yet, then let’s talk about it. The #layerup challenge is a challenge that shows what people have to do who live in extreme weather conditions.

The challenges get people to post videos of themselves layering up for the winter, or autumn. There are hundreds of videos currently on TikTok that are associated with this popular hashtag.

4. #halloweendiy

You may be able to guess what this hashtag is all about. It’s often associated with the challenge of dressing up for Halloween, and posting different art and craft themed Halloween get-ups that are both challenging and fun.

5. #lemonke

It’s no secret that TikTok is home to a lot of creepy memes and hashtags, and TikTok has not held back when it comes to offering its users fun, often weird filters to play around with, too.

#lemonke is associated with a stinky ‘lemonke’ filter, and let’s just say that you won’t run out of content to watch that’s associated with this hashtag.

6. #nomodel

If you’re someone who hopes that a lot of people will click on your content, then you may want to use this hashtag.

#nomodel is the challenge where you have to find some of the best photos of yourself, even if you’re not a model.

The irony makes it fun and appealing on a larger scale, and like the other hashtags on this list, there’s no end to the content associated with it.

7. #getspooky

#getspooky is just another Halloween themed hashtag that has blown up recently. All you have to do is create a video of you showing your transformation into your favorite Halloween costume.

Some of the videos are fun and enjoyable to watch, while others are just downright scary.

8. #youreinvited

If you’re someone who feels like they have been missing out a lot lately and not been invited to much, then watch out for the #youreinvited hashtag.

People use this to invite others to the sickest TikTok party of the year, so make sure to include it in your own videos if you want to be apart of the TikTok movement.

9. #tastesdifferent

If you post a lot of food-related content onto your TikTok, then you need to be making the most of this hashtag.

The theme here is all based around how much better food seems to taste when you’re eating it at someone else’s house. It’s currently one of the most popular, trending hashtags on TikTok.

10. #hauntedtiktok

You may have already guessed what this next hashtag is about. #hauntedtiktok is all about encouraging TikTok users to share their paranormal experiences.

If you or someone you know has experienced something a bit spooky recently, then make a video about it and remember to include this hashtag in the caption.

11. #bringiton

This next hashtag lets TikTok users participate in epic showdowns and connect with others that also want to participate as well.

If you stay on TikTok until the end, you will know who comes out the winner.

12. #inverted

This next hashtag is associated with a challenge where users are tasked with creating a video using the new ‘inverted’ filter that TikTok has recently put out.

So, if you’re someone who likes to look at their reflection in the mirror, you may want to try using this filter and its hashtag.

13. #theatrekid

This next hashtag asks TikTok users to show off their acting skills. If you are someone who has always loved acting, and you post a lot of videos showing this, then this is the perfect hashtag for you.

Of course, if you’re just someone who enjoys watching people act, there’s no end to the videos out there that are associated with #theatrekid.

14. #faceyourfear

This is another one that you may be able to guess – #faceyourfear is all about you posting a video of yourself facing your biggest fear, and rising to the challenge that it poses.

If you’d rather just watch other people face their own fears, you can do this as well because it’s a really popular hashtag right now.

15. #backtohoops

hashtags for likes

The last trending hashtag on our list is actually a sponsored hashtag. NBA is trying to encourage TikTok users through the hashtag #backtohoops to celebrate the return of their next season.

So, if you love playing or watching basketball, check out the videos associated with this trending hashtag.
