Social Wick Review – Is Social Wick a Scam?

SocialWick Review 2024

How well do you really know a social media growth service?

In essence, you can only know what you learn, which is determined by the level of access you have to the information on any kind of social media growth service.

Have you ever tried one before, and have you ever been burned by one that was no more than a scam?

If the answer to all of these is yes, then you’ll know that it’s a big industry we’re now dealing with.

There are a lot of companies out there that are legit and can actually help you, and then there are those that aren’t so nice.

It’s not surprising nowadays for people to get scammed by unsafe online social media growth companies. After all, you can only find out so much about them online.

That is one of the red flags of a less than reputable online social growth service. Not being able to find out much about them.

Oftentimes, these scam sites crop up online making all sorts of promises to help you grow your followers without bots, fake followers, or spam.

Sometimes they even write or pay others to write positive reviews that are fake since the reviewer didn’t likely use the service, but instead just wrote what their client wanted them to write about it.

If only they spent this time scamming others by actually creating a functional business model that will help you grow your social presence.

How in the world are you supposed to choose among the overwhelming number of social media growth companies when they find so many ways to circumvent the truth about them?

There are those that do consistently deliver quality growth and engagement, but you really have to know how and where to find them.

I’m Jonathon Spire, and I love the idea of being able to share my knowledge of the social media growth industry with the people who read my articles.

I know that it isn’t easy out there and that you need to be able to tell the difference between a good company, and a not so good one.

So, how do you do this?

Let’s review one company, SocialWick, and see whether we can tell if they’re worthwhile or not.

SocialWick Review - logo

SocialWick is a company that claims to be able to help you with many different social media websites out there.

The website claims that SocialWick is a social media marketplace where people can buy growth such as real followers, real viewers, real likes, plus more using their blend of marketing tactics (this is paraphrased from the website).

The claims for growth and engagement are intended for social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube. Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other giants in the social media realm.

This might sound like the kind of thing that you need for your brand, but the reality is that they’re most likely just a scam, and not legit at all.

Here are some reasons we believe this.

While they claim to use marketing tactics, there is nothing on the website that remotely describes what these “marketing tactics” are, nor is there an inkling of information about that topic.

The website services also claim to deliver high-quality engagements and followers within two hours. These buzzwords only mean that they are delivering fake followers.

You will also find that they claim to offer free refills, which seems great, but since Instagram will be removing the fake followers they deliver, it will be just a cycle of fake followers, removals, and more fake followers.

You don’t need that kind of engagement on your IG account.

You deserve to have real people who are interested in your niche and content that you can convert into loyal followers and ultimately loyal customers. Fake followers cannot do that.

Additionally, the SocialWick website looks exactly like another self-proclaimed social media growth service, Socialempire, which is a major red flag. Isn’t that just the icing on the cake?

A good rule of thumb when you cannot find ample information about services that cater to social media growth and engagement is to see if the site looks cloned or has the same content and layout as another one.

In this instance, the copy, content, and general layout is the same as this other site. This is a service we would not recommend.

SocialWick for Instagram

SocialWick for Instagram

We didn’t really like how Social Wick was set up – it was pretty hard for us to see what their pricing was.

In fact, we don’t think that you can see it at all until you commit to something. Let’s call this suspicious at the very least.

With their Instagram features, they can help you buy Instagram followers, and they get you to type in the quantity you need, before pressing ‘ok.’

Again, no sign of actual pricing, though, which is a bit confusing.

SocialWick for Facebook

Social Wick for Facebook

The same goes for Facebook followers, too.

They say that they can help you with Facebook page followers, and all you have to do is type in how many you need from them.

Once you’ve done this, you click ‘ok.’

We don’t love this because it means that you don’t get to know how much it’s going to cost you to get Facebook followers from them.

It’s all very vague and generic and isn’t boding well for them so far.

SocialWick for TikTok

SocialWick for TikTok

SocialWick says that they have followers for TikTok – but we’re not sure how much they’re going to cost.

They guarantee quick delivery with them, they promise that they’re real people, and they don’t require a password to send them to you.

Not a good sign – they should need your password to get into your profile so that they can send you real engagement.

The same goes for their YouTube views, followers, likes, and comments.

They say that they don’t need your password to send you engagement, and they claim that they’re completely 100% confidential.

They also promise a refill within 30 days if you’ve lost the engagement and customer support around the clock.

We can’t quite see how they pull this off, but they certainly claim it.

FAQs

How Did SocialWick Do In Tests?

We don’t do a proper review of any company without testing it out ourselves to make sure that it’s worth recommending to our readers.

When we tested out SocialWick, we made sure to buy 1000 Instagram followers to see how they would do. We have to say that we weren’t very impressed by the results.

They came in late, and when they did come in, they started to drop off again after just a couple of days.

While you might think that this is unusual, unfortunately, it’s not – you can lose up to 80% of engagement from companies like this within the first three days.

What About the Team?

It makes sense that all legit companies in the social media marketing industry will have a little bit about the team behind the features, right?

This is their way of connecting with the client. We are sad to say that we couldn’t find anything like this on SocialWicks’ webpage.

Review Conclusion

So, as you might have guessed already, we don’t recommend SocialWick to help with your social media growth.

When we cannot verify solid information and we find buzzwords and red flags that tell us a social media growth service is risky to your social accounts, we cannot, in good conscience recommend engaging with such services.

Keep in mind that these services can be considered “legal”, but legal doesn’t always go hand-in-hand with ethical or safe and secure.

At least we can say that you don’t have to hand over your password to use SocialWick. That is almost the only positive thing we can say about this service.

However, that also doesn’t mean your IG account will be safe in their hands for followers and engagement.

If anything, this service is likely to put your social media accounts at risk and get your content flagged or even banned.

Fake followers are known to result in having your social accounts disabled and blocked.

You may or may not be able to convince the platforms to restore your profile(s), but the damage to your reputation and credibility may already be affected.

That said, we did find some reviews as you can see below that tell the story.

There are reviews on Trustpilot that say people have completely wasted their time and money, and when they have tried to get help to rectify things, they haven’t been able to.

Social Wick -Trustpilot

These guys are a complete waste of time, and you should avoid them if you can.

Our recommendation is to pass this one over and seek out social engagement help from a reputable, reliable, and trustworthy growth company.

You don’t have to take our word for it, but we would urge you to do your own research and watch for the red flags mentioned in this review.

Protect your social presence across platforms at all costs by finding the best and safest methods of outsourcing your growth and engagement.

  1. I’ve used them for a few things – YouTube views, YouTube subs, TikTok views, TikTok likes, and the latest was Twitter likes. The only service that looks in any way credible is YouTube views. When I got subs, most of them disappeared within a couple of days. I repeated this and it kept happening, so I gave up asking for refills because I was worried about my channel. The same with TikTok and Twitter. On YouTube views, it helped get more a lot of organic ones afterwards. But when you can clearly see the accounts they use, it’s clear they’re fake. They don’t even do a good job at that. No profile photos, no account activity. Very low-energy, even if they were trying to convince people they use people. I wish I hadn’t bothered and won’t be again. Avoid.

  2. I tested it with my Instagram account and brought 500 followers and only lost around 30, I’m now sitting with over 16,000 followers.

I blog about a range of tech topics.

For the last 7 years I have been a social media marketing specialist and business growth consultant, so I write about those the most.

Full transparency: I do review a lot of services and I try to do it as objectively as possible; I give honest feedback and only promote services I believe truly work (for which I may or may not receive a commission) – if you are a service owner and you think I have made a mistake then please let me know in the comments section.
