Rocket Social is pretty proud of what they offer their clients – but are we? Do we think that they’re offering enough to grow your account well?
Using a service to boost your Instagram growth can either be a positive experience with real engagement and organic growth or it may end in getting your account banned with fake or bot engagement.
Not all companies that provide Instagram growth services are good, and not all are bad. The thing to do is to be an informed consumer before investing your money in these types of services.
Some companies pose a bigger risk than others, which is why you need reviews like this one.
I’m Jonathon Spire, and I know that it’s hard to find companies that are legit at the best of times. However, as the growth industry gets bigger and bigger, it gets more and more difficult to tell what’s a legit brand, and what’s a scam.

Rocket Social promotes itself to be a “Powerful and legitimate Influencer Marketing Agency” (quote from the website). They claim to offer authentic, organic followers for your Instagram page/profile.
They provide followers via hashtags and through competition marketing.
We believe that instead of selling organic and real engagement, they may be selling another type of Instagram automation bot, or bot-like service.
Rocket Social claims that before they were an online business, they were a top seller on Fiverr.

- Influencers & Engagement – They claim to build your audience via influencer marketing and engagement strategies.
- 24/7 Support -They claim to be available 24 hours per day to help you.
- You can cancel anytime.
- They state that everything they offer is performed manually and that they don’t use a bot, guaranteeing no risk of ban.
These claims about their services may be true, or partially true. We cannot attest to whether or not they use a bot for their services, but it seems like some form of automation over manual engagement.

Pros and Cons
We really don’t like the idea of you sharing personal information on a website that isn’t secure with https. This means that hackers can easily get in and take it.
There are billions of websites out there, and the ones that are legit and care about the people who visit them will make sure to secure them with https. Don’t share valuable information on webpages like this.
Another thing that we don’t really like at this point about Rocket Social is that they don’t have visible pricing to show their clients. This means that you have no idea what they’re going to charge then you actually commit to something, and you could end up getting ripped off and being charged way more than what they’re worth.
Lastly, the kicker here is that they don’t have any real reviews on their website. A company that’s in good standing with their clients should be able to produce at least a couple of reviews that are positive – the lack thereof says so much more about them than if they were to have some.
What About Their Team?
We love it when companies put a little bit on their website about the team behind the features.
This is a simple, easy way for them to connect to people that are interested in their features, and want to know a little bit more about how they are developed, and what the intent is. We can’t say here that Rocket Social has this, which is pretty concerning.
You really need a company that can give you more information that Rocket Social is willing to part with at this point in time.
Is Rocket Social Safe? Is It a Scam?
Every Instagram growth and engagement service has its pros and cons. Rocket Social probably uses botting, so isn’t very safe.
If Rocket Social is what it markets itself to be, we would have to give it a moderate rating of safety. It’s not low-risk, but not high-risk either. IGReviews gives it a 4/10 on safety.

It’s wise to go beyond the website’s testimonials and reviews when selecting any kind of service, but especially those that provide Instagram engagement and growth.
After evaluation, I don’t recommend Rocket Social.

There only thing I gained was the need for more time in the day. Because I had to sit for so long, so often and unfollow literally hundreds of random unnecessary and sometimes fake accounts. Gained no following. Actually lost followers once the math is worked out. Crazy that companies are allowed to scam ppl like this. I’m an independent music artist. I do not have $ to waste! Now emailing and messaging for a refund… Ugh!
I was very displeased with my experience with Rocket social. Not only did I spend $200 for less than 900 followers, I had customers send me screenshots of my profile showing that Instagram says “my account looks like spam” and now I follow over 4,440 people. When I complained they just said I changed my password so it wasn’t their fault. I changed my password because clients told me instagram was warning them that my account was Spam. Not a word from Rocket Social. They just kept charging me. When I asked for a refund they said that they couldn’t and they would work “extra hard” on my account. Which they also did not do. If you would like someone to just add people you follow in hopes that they follow you back at a rate of 4:1 than maybe its for you but I am not happy!
Beware this is a scam. They take your money and no joke just follow a ton of random people. That’s it. There are no reports, strategy, and tier system is a scam too. They had a whole month to get me followers and all I received was 150 random followers from India. I did a huge email back and forth and they reassured me I would be “happy”. Just bunch of lies actually. They do not refund your money either. All bs.
They never logged into my account. Nothing was done. I asked for a refund and they refused and said they would give me “another week” of service. Still nothing was done!! I contacted their support daily. I feel totally ripped off.
They didn’t made anything extraordinary on my account but they did a great job overall. Happy with the results.
They have poor customer service. They are dismissive and ignore converns. They under delivered by 1/2 promised followers and did nothing to keep my business or address my concerns. They unfollowed people I followed prior to their service. I got many angry DMs from people for unfollowing. I missed out on numberous days of service due to their own inability to use my passowrs correctly and did nothing to make up for lost time or under delivered followers.
They still didn’t cancel my subscription, they took my money and wont give it back…AND they didn’t provide the service.
