Lead Connect is one of those companies that claim to be able to help you with your LinkedIn connections. While this is all well and good, there is a chance that they’re not completely honest about everything. 

There are a lot of ways to grow your LinkedIn these days, but some of them are more manual than others. If you have been doing this manually for a while now, then you might be feeling a little jaded on the industry.

This is completely understandable, considering just how many people there are on LinkedIn these days that are trying to achieve the same thing. This means that it’s near impossible to stand out and apart from your competition and do it all by yourself.

A lot of people on LinkedIn these days are choosing to outsource their engagement to a company that can take care of it so that they can focus on other parts of their networking efforts. 

This is all well and good until you find a company that just wants to take advantage of you.

I’m Jonathon Spire, and I know a fair bit about the LinkedIn growth industry. I know enough to be able to tell you that there are some really legit companies out there that have your best intentions at heart, but then there are those that are just trying to find naïve clients to take advantage of.

Let’s review Lead Connect and determine whether they are the right kind of company for your LinkedIn connections or not.

Lead Connect says that they are a LinkedIn outreach automation platform.

They say that they can help you to automate your lead generation efforts, and they can also help you follow up with people who make that connection with you. When they say automation, we assume they mean a bot.

What is Lead Connect?

Lead Connect seems to have it all going on – but of course, we have our doubts. They have a lot going on both on their homepage and elsewhere on the website, and they seem to be pretty sure of what they’re offering.

They claim to be able to help automate your lead generation efforts and personalize your follow-ups so that you can come across as authentic to new connections.

This is all well and good, but our concern is that they’re a bot, which LinkedIn isn’t too fond of. They prefer their users to do things organically and safely.

What Are Lead Connect’s Features?

Lead Connect says that once you have defined your audience with them, you can setup invite messages so that they are tempted to check out your LinkedIn profile.

They say that you can do this with up to 100 invitations, which diversifies the message and ensures that it doesn’t come across as spammy. You can also get back in touch with them if they haven’t responded to your first message with a follow up one.

Once you have done this, Lead Connect can help you sync your LinkedIn profiles so that they can manage them a bit easier.

What is Lead Connect’s Pricing?

When it comes to Lead Connects pricing, they have three different price points for you to choose from.

Their first price point is $22.95, and this allows you up to 30 invites a day, as well as 10 different templates for your instant messages. Their next price point up is $40.95, and this allows you 60 invites per day, as well as 30 messaging templates to choose from.

Lastly, they have an ultimate package which is going to cost you $77.95 a month, and this allows you to have 100 invites a day, as well as unlimited templates. While this is all well and good, we don’t think that the quality is here that you need.

How Did Lead Connect Do in Tests?

So, how did Lead Connect do in tests? Not very well. While they started out pretty good, it soon became evident that they are nothing more than just your average bot that is going to take advantage of you.

They made our LinkedIn profile look very spammy to potential connections, which is the last thing that we need. We also struggled to communicate with them, as they didn’t respond in the chatbox for a couple of days.

All in all, we don’t think that this is the kind of company that you want on your side if you’re trying to make a good impression among potential connections.

What About Their Team?

Another way to tell if a company is legit or not is to see how much information they have on their website about the team behind the features.

As you may be able to guess, we couldn’t find too much information on either their homepage or elsewhere about the team, which leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

This gives us the impression that they’re not willing to be upfront and honest with their clients from the beginning, which could spell trouble later on down the road.

So, what do you ultimately think of Lead Connect, then? We sadly don’t think that they’re very safe to use.

While they appear to be upfront and honest on their website, the disappointing bit is that they’re not doing enough to appear authentic to LinkedIn and to put your networking first before anything else.

The bottom line with companies like this is that they aren’t approved by LinkedIn.

This means that they won’t be able to be used on LinkedIn for very long before they get banned, and the last thing that you need is to get banned along with them. This is why it’s worth going for a company that’s legit and that cares about the welfare of its clients.

Your LinkedIn is worth more than a company like this. When using social media platforms like this, make sure that you stay safe and know what you’re getting into.
